Chia seeds are a superfood that are grown under tropical and subtropical conditions. Chia seeds are composed of a high percentage of proteins and contains high amounts of natural antioxidants such as omega-3 fatty acids. Chia seeds are gluten free and they are also high in dietary fiber.
Mix a quarter-cup of the seeds in one cup of liquid (almond milk, fruit juice, others). Once the seeds have gelled up and the mixture is no longer watery, they are ready to eat.
Since chia seeds don’t have flavor on their own, feel free to add spices, fruits, nuts and any other toppings you´d like.
